How to Use
Fill your litter box with at least 7–8 cm of litter. Scoop clumps and solid waste daily, topping up as needed. Replace fully every 3–4 weeks. Store in a cool, dry place. Dispose of used litter in your household bin — do not flush.

xWhat is Sustainably Yours cat litter made from?
Sustainably Yours is made from a blend of corn and cassava (tapioca) — 100% plant-based, with zero clay, silica, bentonite, or synthetic fragrances. The bag itself is made from sugarcane bio-plastic and is fully recyclable.
Is it safe for kittens?
Yes — it's one of the few natural litters vets specifically recommend for kittens. It's dust-free, fragrance-free, and chemical-free, making it ideal for young cats with developing respiratory systems. Unlike clay, it poses no ingestion risk if a curious kitten nibbles it.
How does the odour control work?
Sustainably Yours uses a patented ammonia-encapsulation technology. Rather than masking smells with added fragrance, it chemically neutralises ammonia — the main driver of litter box odour — on contact. Most cat owners notice a dramatic difference within the first week.
How well does it clump?
It forms rock-hard, tight clumps that don't crumble or stick to the box. Scoop clean every time with nothing left behind. The clumps stay firm even if they sit for a day or two.
Which grain size should I choose?
Mixed Grain — Our best-seller. Balances clumping speed with odour control and suits most cats and litter box setups.
Small Grain — Clumps the fastest. Ideal for cats who prefer a finer, sand-like texture. Not recommended for Litter-Robot units.
Large Grain — Best for transitioning from clay. Familiar texture, least tracking, lowest dust of all three.
Does it track around the house?
Tracking is significantly less than clay. Large Grain tracks the least; Small Grain can cling to paws a little more due to its lightweight texture. A litter mat at the box exit makes a big difference for all three.
Is it compatible with Litter-Robot or automatic litter boxes?
Mixed Grain and Large Grain work well with most self-cleaning litter boxes. Small Grain is not recommended for Litter-Robot units, as finer granules can fall through the sifting screen. Always check your unit's manufacturer recommendations.
How long does one bag last?
One 4.5 kg bag lasts approximately 1 cat for 3 weeks with daily scooping. The 5.9 kg bag extends this to roughly 4 weeks. A helpful rule of thumb: one 4.5 kg bag per cat per month.
Is it flushable?
The granules are biodegradable, but we recommend disposing of used litter in your household bin rather than flushing. Australian plumbing systems vary and local water authorities may have restrictions on organic waste flushing.
